Dustin Cesarek-Heffelbower Fellow
Dustin Cesarek became a caregiver in 2012 when his wife was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Rather than letting cancer dictate the rest of their time together, Dustin and his wife have chosen to live; focusing on making wonderful memories with their daughter, searching for silver linings, and helping others who walk their own difficult cancer journeys.
In 2014, Dustin co-founded local community partner, Jack’s Caregiver Coalition, and currently sits as Secretary on the board. He is also currently a law student at the University of St. Thomas and looks forward to making a career out of his passion for service. Joining the Cancer Legal Care team is an opportunity to further his understanding of the law while continuing to serve the community he is a part of.
