Colors of Cancer Health & Wellness Expo
The Colors of Cancer Health & Wellness Expo is a free community health event organized by the African American Breast Cancer Alliance and the Breast Cancer Education Association in partnership with the University of Minnesota Masonic Cancer Center. It is a multicultural summer health and wellness event for all ages, men, women, and backgrounds. The Expo is designed to empower community members to take charge of their health, take care of their lives and increase community engagement. The theme, "Our Voices, Our Health" highlights cultural health advocacy, education, and support for cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers with local and national support resources. The Expo features a wide variety of educational and fun activities: head to toe health and cancer screenings, demonstrations, exhibits, workshops, movement sessions, speakers, service providers and a special gathering space for cancer survivors. (Note: Registration is required for mammography screening for women ages 40 and over.) Free parking and refreshments provided and registration is recommended.
